This is a very imaginative piece, with a green floral motif held within a coral-outlined diamond at the centre. Large pale blue flowers sit above and below it, surrounded by cream blossoms, yellow curling forms and green leaves on a soft grey ground. Coral red details enliven the composition. The old pattern has been enlarged and given room to breathe, with only a narrow edging around it.
The weaver has combined flat weaving and knotted pile, creating a surface in which the pattern rises gently from the ground.
