“I chanced upon this shop more or less one year ago, as I was perusing carpet shops at Tan Boon Liet building. I love rugs and carpets, above all those ones that can tell you a story, because they themselves are the concentrate of history. While it is not difficult to find carpet shops, which sell good and beautiful rugs, it is quite rare to find a shop where you feel each carpet has a history and as such is able to tell you a unique story. Well, Mr Nishaburi’s shop is precisely that kind of shop. When I entered the shop with my wife for the first time, Mr Nishaburi welcomed us: we felt immediately that he was not obsessed with selling us something, but rather he wanted to introduce us to each of his friends, the carpets he has collected over the years. That day he showed us extremely beautiful things, each a unique piece, each with its own history, some of them more than hundred years old, some of them bringing within themselves a piece of Iran’s or Afghanistan’s culture. These rugs are able to speak out not only because of their intrinsic beauty, but because Mr Nishaburi lends them his voice and his knowledge. When listening to him, one is brought into a different world, reminiscent of the ancient caravans and of the Persian kings of old. While at his shop I never felt he was trying to sell me something, I never felt pressured. His joy consists totally in giving voice to the beautiful things he has in his shop and to help the visitor to appreciate them at the fullest. Because of this, I think of Mr Nishaburi’s shop as an oasis of beauty and hence peace.
I myself have managed so far to bring home three beautiful rugs, one of which, a Turkmen rug from the Soviet period (quite rare to find nowadays), is my pride and joy. I will surely buy more from Mr Nishaburi, in order to create in my own home my own oasis of beauty and peace.
It goes without saying that there is also great value for money. I am almost obsessed with rugs, and because of that I spend a lot of time perusing rugs also online. I have never seen so far such good prices for such beautiful rugs as the ones Mr Nishaburi sells.
In short, whoever loves rugs MUST visit Mr Nishaburi’s shop and whoever does not know about rugs should go there as well, because there he will find a teacher and a guide very difficult to match.”

The stylised n simplify images are from nature like lotus, water, turtle n tree of life, all these essentials elements were beautifully handcrafted using contrasting colours quality wool thread that not bring out the motifs quality n complement each other !
