A Luri grain bag from around the mid-20th century, opened and presented as a rug. The large undecorated beige field gives way to a structured lower panel of red, green, cream and dark horizontal bands, punctuated by small flower-like tribal devices. Woven entirely in wool, it retains the honest proportions, joins and irregularities of an authentic nomadic object.
