Tradition Retold
This carpet was designed by Nasser Nishaburi and produced in Tabriz as an exploration of how traditional Persian carpet designs can be reinterpreted for contemporary interiors. Rather than abandoning tradition, the design transforms it through a new approach to colour, texture, and composition.
Drawing inspiration from classical Persian carpets, familiar elements have been simplified, softened, and partially dissolved into the field, creating a sense of movement and abstraction. The gentle palette, dominated by soft blues, warm reds, and muted golds, gives the rug a light and effortless presence.
Equally important is the texture. Woven from hand-spun wool using a deliberately coarse knot structure, the carpet possesses remarkable depth, character, and tactile appeal. The combination of traditional materials and contemporary design results in a piece that feels both timeless and distinctly modern.
This is a rug created for those who appreciate individuality, a carpet that honors centuries of Persian weaving tradition while speaking confidently in a contemporary language.
