Hello, and thank you for stopping by.
I am Nasser Nishaburi, a sixth-generation rug dealer, collector, designer, and curator, continuing a family tradition in carpets and rugs that dates back to 1750. For more than 40 years, I have travelled across villages, tribal regions, workshops, and markets in search of exceptional handmade rugs, from antique Persian carpets and tribal weavings to contemporary creations inspired by centuries of weaving tradition.
Over the years, rugs have become far more than my profession. They have become a way of understanding people, culture, history, and creativity. Every rug carries a story. Some tell it through symbols inherited across generations, others through colour, texture, age, or the remarkable skill of the weaver who brought it to life.
My work today combines the curation of antique, vintage, tribal, village, and Persian rugs with the creation of original collections developed in collaboration with master artisans. Whether a nomadic weaving made from memory, a finely crafted city carpet, or a contemporary interpretation of a classical design, I am always searching for pieces that possess authenticity, character, and soul.
Through this website, I hope to share not only rugs, but also the stories, traditions, and human experiences woven into them. If you spend enough time with a great rug, you begin to realise that it is never just a decorative object. It is a record of life, patiently composed in love and knotted with experience.
So welcome. Please take your time, explore the collection, and allow me to introduce you to a world that has fascinated me for a lifetime.
