In the 1950s, Persian rug demand soared, prompting Kashan masters to establish new looms in Qum, where they assembled gifted designers and exceptional weavers. Their work soon defined a new standard, producing silk rugs of remarkable delicacy, colour harmony and artistic imagination.
This fine piece, woven in the early years of Qum’s rise, showcases exquisite silk, natural dyes and an elegant composition, capturing the enthusiasm and creativity that shaped one of the most celebrated periods in Persian weaving.
